Trusting God’s Timing
The Bridge - Faith for the Week is a moment to pause, reflect, and receive encouragement grounded in God’s Word for the days ahead.
“Jehovah is good unto them that wait for him,
To the soul that seeketh him.”
— Lamentations 3:25 (ASV)
Reflection
Trusting God’s timing can be difficult when our hearts are eager for change or resolution. We often measure progress by what we can see, but God’s work is not always visible on our timeline. Scripture reminds us that God is good to those who wait and who seek Him, even when answers feel delayed.
God’s timing is shaped by wisdom and care, not by urgency or pressure. Waiting does not mean being forgotten. It means God is working in ways that align with His purpose and our growth. What feels slow to us may be preparation for what is still to come.
Trust grows when we shift our focus from when things will happen to who we are trusting. God’s goodness remains constant, even in seasons when waiting feels long and uncertain.
Application
This week, consider where impatience may be challenging your trust.
Instead of measuring time by what hasn’t happened yet, remind yourself of God’s goodness and faithfulness. Continue seeking Him daily, trusting that His timing will bring what is needed at the right moment.
Let’s Pray
God,
Waiting tests my patience and my trust.
Help me rest in Your timing, even when I want answers quickly.
Teach me to seek You while I wait and trust in Your goodness.
Strengthen my faith as I place my hope in You.
In Jesus Name Amen.
Closing
God’s timing is always shaped by His goodness and care.
