When You’re Tired but Still Trusting God
The Bridge’s - Faith for the Week is a moment to pause, reflect, and receive encouragement grounded in God’s Word for the days ahead.
Scripture
“Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”
— Matthew 11:28 (ASV)
Reflection
There are seasons when faith doesn’t feel strong or energetic — it feels tired. Responsibilities continue, expectations remain, and life doesn’t pause just because you’re weary. In moments like these, many people quietly wonder if their exhaustion means their faith is failing.
But Scripture shows us something different. Jesus does not call only the strong or the confident. He invites those who are tired, burdened, and worn down to come to Him. Weariness does not disqualify you from faith — it often reveals how deeply you need God’s presence and strength.
Trusting God while tired is still trusting God. It may look quieter. It may feel slower. But it is still faith. And Jesus promises rest, not as a reward for effort, but as a gift to those who come to Him honestly.
Application
This week, consider giving yourself permission to rest in God’s care.
You may not need to fix everything or push yourself harder. One faithful step could be acknowledging your weariness and bringing it to God in prayer. Let Him meet you where you are, without pressure or expectation.
Strength for the journey often begins with rest in God’s presence.
Prayer
God,
I’m tired, and some days it’s hard to keep going.
Thank You for inviting me to come to You just as I am.
Help me trust You even when I feel worn down.
Give me the rest and strength You promise.
Amen.
Closing
May this week be guided by faith, even in the tired moments.
